ABOUT US
Our Commitment to Promoting Media Integrity
The Media Integrity Project exists to elevate the standards of public storytelling.
We believe journalism is essential to democracy — and that integrity includes responsibility, accuracy, and awareness of impact.
Our work applies analytical inquiry to journalism itself, examining how reporting practices, narrative framing, and editorial choices influence public understanding and lived experience.
We explore journalism through three perspectives:

Through research, education, AI Tools, and dialogue, we examine reporting styles, explore recurring narrative patterns, and encourage reflection on how stories affect individuals, families, and communities. Our flagship podcast and interview series- Humanity in Journalism — brings these ideas to life through direct conversations with journalists, media professionals, and story subjects.

We do not shame, accuse, or adjudicate intent.
We do not evaluate truth claims or assign fault.
We study impact — thoughtfully and transparently.
We open this space up for:
Writers/Reporters to reflect on their own work
Subjects to reflect on the framing of their story
Audiences to assess framing of information
This project creates space for understanding between journalists, the people inside the stories, and the audiences who consume them.
